Tulane University’s men’s tennis team will host the University of Tulsa, ranked No. 72, at Goldring Tennis Center on Sunday morning, April 4. The match is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start after being moved earlier due to the threat of bad weather in the afternoon.
The match is significant as Tulane continues its stretch against nationally ranked opponents this season. The Green Wave holds a record of six wins and ten losses, while Tulsa arrives with fourteen wins and eleven losses.
According to the team, Daniel Phillips and Lance Nisbet are currently ranked No. 35 nationally in doubles with a seven-win and three-loss record. In singles play, Piotr Andrzejewski has recently won three matches in a row and has six victories out of his last ten contests.
Tulsa comes into Sunday’s contest after losing to Rice but previously secured home victories over New Mexico State and VCU this season.
The first fifty fans attending Sunday’s match will receive a free bucket hat upon entry to the facility. Live scoring for the event will be available online for those who wish to follow along remotely.
Looking ahead, Tulane’s continued competition against strong teams may influence their standing as they approach future matches.
