Tulane’s men’s tennis team will begin its campaign in the American Conference Championship on April 16, facing the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The tournament is scheduled to run for four days, with first-round matches starting Thursday and concluding with the final on Sunday, April 19. The winner of the championship will secure an automatic spot in the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships.

Tulane has been seeded ninth and will play against eighth-seeded UAB at 10 a.m. Central Time. If Tulane wins its opening match, it will advance to compete against top-seeded Rice on Friday. Historically, Tulane holds a 5-6 record against UAB and recently lost to them on April 9 in Birmingham. Both teams are coming off losses from last weekend; UAB was defeated by UTSA with a score of 4-2, while Tulane fell to South Florida by a score of 4-3.

Fans can follow complete coverage of the American Tennis Championships through live scoring available on the conference’s Championship Central page. Additionally, Sunday’s final match will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

The Green Wave Club continues to encourage support for Tulane Athletics through donations that help provide resources for student-athletes both academically and athletically.
