Tulane University baseball players Tanner Chun and Jack Frankel have been named to the American Athletic Conference’s Weekly Honor Roll, according to an announcement from the conference office.

Chun, a sophomore outfielder from Honolulu, Hawaii, delivered a strong performance in Tulane’s recent home series sweep against Harvard. He achieved a .556 batting average with six runs scored, two doubles, two extra base hits, a slugging percentage of .778, six stolen bases, and an on-base percentage of .750. Chun also contributed five hits, four RBIs and seven total bases while reaching base safely in all four games. Currently, he leads the team in batting average (.368) and stolen bases (6), and is tied for most doubles (4).

Frankel, a sophomore pitcher from Plano, Texas, pitched a complete game over seven innings in Tulane’s victory over Harvard. He allowed only one run on seven hits and struck out three batters without issuing any walks. This outing marked the team’s first complete game since April 25, 2025. Frankel now holds a 1-0 record with a 1.64 ERA this season and leads Tulane pitchers with 11 innings pitched so far while holding opponents to a .231 batting average.

This week marks the first time both Chun and Frankel have received weekly conference honors during their collegiate careers at Tulane. It is also the first such recognition for the program this year; over the past two seasons Tulane baseball has earned conference honors twelve times.

The Green Wave will play two midweek road games: against UNO on Tuesday, February 24 at 6:30 p.m., then facing South Alabama in Mobile on Wednesday, February 25 at 6:30 p.m. Tulane returns home for its next series against Eastern Kentucky from February 27 through March 1.
