Tulane University’s sailing team began its spring season with a strong performance at the Corpus Christi Spring Open Team Race in Texas, finishing first and undefeated with a 12-0 record.

The event featured three teams, and Tulane secured six wins each against both Texas A&M and Rice. The team was represented by four skipper-crew pairs: John Wood with Charlotte Casey, Alejo Di Blasi with Claire Lewis, Matheo Capasso with Parker Kumler, and Ryan Ehnot with Sophia Adams. Each pair contributed to Tulane’s success over six rounds of racing.

Tulane will next host two regattas on Lake Pontchartrain: the Green Wave Women’s Team Race and the Nelson Roltsch Open Team Race, scheduled from February 28 to March 1.
