Tulane secures six top-10 finishes at Windy City Invitational

The Tulane University indoor track and field team completed its participation in the Badger Windy City Invitational on Saturday. The event, hosted by the University of Wisconsin at Gately Stadium in Chicago, saw Tulane athletes secure six top-10 finishes.

Zaria Parker achieved an eighth-place finish in the women’s 200 meters with a time of 24.39 seconds. Teammates Nahema Dumonteil Cabanas and Marissa Gordon also competed in the same event, finishing 25th and 27th respectively, both setting personal records.

In field events, Alyssa Dismuke placed fifth in the women’s shot put with a throw of 12.09 meters. Presley Wolfe earned ninth place in the women’s triple jump with a distance of 11.92 meters. Elena Liano-Rengel ran the women’s 800 meters in 2:10.69, while Quin Tandeih reached tenth place in the women’s weight throw with a mark of 13.01 meters.

The women’s 4×400 meter relay team—composed of Dumonteil Cabanas, Parker, Gordon, and Bella Carroll—finished eighth with a time of 3:56.05.

On the men’s side, Alexander Montoro and Andrew Bamberg competed in the men’s 200 meters, finishing 29th and 27th respectively.

Tulane’s track and field program will divide its squad for upcoming meets on February 13 and 14 at Boston University’s David Hemery Valentine Invitational and Vanderbilt’s Music City Challenge. This marks their second appearance at both venues this season.
