The Tulane swimming and diving team is set to host the Mardi Gras Invite at the Reily Center Natatorium in New Orleans from January 16-17. The event will be open to the public, with parking available in Diboll Garage. On Friday, prior to the first dual meet, Tulane will recognize six senior athletes as part of Senior Day.

Fans can follow live stats for the Mardi Gras Invite via Meet Mobile, a subscription-based app, or online. The competition will also be streamed on the Tulane Athletics YouTube channel.

Participating teams include North Texas, New Mexico, and Little Rock. The invite features a round-robin format where each team competes against every other team over two days. Competition begins Friday at 3 p.m., when Tulane faces North Texas. Other matchups include New Mexico versus Little Rock and several diving events throughout both days. The final event will see Little Rock take on Tulane at 5 p.m. Saturday evening. A point system will determine the overall winner after all individual duals are completed.

Tulane’s seniors being honored are Emma Brady, Taylor Cekay, Olcaytu Hatipoglu, Sydney Mullin, Ece Tanriverdi, and Andrea Zeebe.

Recently, Andrea Zeebe was named American Conference Swimmer of the Week while freshman Eliza Lennox received Freshman Swimmer of the Week honors from the same conference on January 13. Zeebe was noted as Tulane’s top point contributor at recent meets including the UNLV Invite and a quad meet against Wisconsin, UC San Diego, and UCLA in California during the holiday break. At UNLV, she won both the 200 backstroke and 400 IM events and secured podium finishes in several relays and individual races. Lennox was recognized as Tulane’s leading freshman scorer at those same competitions; her highlights included winning the 50 free at UNLV and placing third in multiple relay and individual events.

In their last outing on January 3 in San Diego at Canyonview Aquatic Center on UC San Diego’s campus—competing against Wisconsin, UC San Diego, and UCLA—the Green Wave achieved eleven top-10 finishes.

After this week’s Mardi Gras Invite concludes regular season home competition for Tulane swimming & diving, they will travel to Pensacola for a dual meet against University of West Florida on January 24.

Tickets for upcoming men’s and women’s basketball games as well as baseball are available by phone or through TulaneTix.com, or at the James W. Wilson Jr. Center ticket office.
