Tulane University announced on April 17 that it will host the SEISA Fleet Race Conference Championships this weekend at Lake Pontchartrain. The event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, with Tulane aiming to secure its sixth consecutive sweep of the SEISA fleet race championships.

The championships will bring together eight teams in the open division: Tulane, Kansas, Louisiana Tech, Rice, Texas A&M, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, Texas A&M – Galveston, and Texas. In the women’s championship regatta, Tulane will compete against crews from Texas and Texas A&M.

Racing is set to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the open championship as the first event. The women’s championship races will follow. If necessary, competition may continue into Sunday starting around 9:45 a.m., depending on how many races are completed Saturday.

The format includes eight total races for the open championship and six for the women’s event. If fewer than three races are finished in either regatta on Saturday, additional racing will take place Sunday to complete the schedule.

Live results for both regattas can be accessed online through links provided by Tulane Athletics. The university also encourages fans to download its official athletics app and follow Tulane Sailing on social media platforms.
