The Tulane track and field program concluded its outdoor regular season on May 2 with athletes competing in two separate meets: the Alumni Muster hosted by Texas A&M in College Station, Texas, and the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The dual participation allowed for a range of performances across both venues. At E.B. Cushing Stadium in College Station, Dorcas Naibei set a season-best time of 4:40.59 to finish seventh in the women’s 1,500 meters. Paul James Pam placed eleventh in the men’s event with a time of 3:56.07. Other notable performances included Sofie Groeninger finishing twenty-first in the women’s 100-meter hurdles and Marissa Gordon leading Tulane’s efforts in the women’s 400 meters with a twenty-first-place finish.

In sprint events, Zaria Parker recorded a time of 11.75 seconds to place fifteenth among women’s competitors in the 100 meters. The men’s side saw Andrew Bamberg achieve forty-second place with an 11.14-second run while Christian McGuire and Jay Bowles followed closely behind.

Field events featured Cara Salsberry throwing a personal best of 50.54 meters to secure sixth place in women’s discus—improving her standing as second-best all-time for Tulane’s program history—and Presley Wolfe tying for eighth place with her pole vault mark of 3.79 meters.

At Bernie Moore Stadium during the LSU Invitational, Alex Sharp finished third overall in the women’s three-thousand-meter steeplechase with a time that ranks second best historically at Tulane and ninety-fourth nationally this year among NCAA Division I athletes.

With these results concluding their regular season schedule, Tulane will prepare for an off week before participating at the American Conference Outdoor Championships scheduled from May 15 to May 17.
