Tulane women’s golf finished in 13th place at the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational hosted by Texas Christian University on March 24. The team posted a total score of 910 over three rounds at Colonial Country Club, which is a par-70 course.

The invitational brought together collegiate teams for a two-day, 54-hole competition. Tulane’s placement reflects their efforts among a competitive field and offers insight into the team’s progress during the season.

Sophomore Francesca Pompa led Tulane, tying for 46th overall with a final score of 223. Pompa made 36 pars—tying for twentieth in the field—and had four birdies during the tournament. Sophia Chen followed, tying for sixty-second place with a score of 227 and also making four birdies along with thirty-two pars across all rounds.

Cristina Albertazzi tied for seventy-first after shooting a combined score of 231, finishing with thirty pars and three birdies. Gabriella Gilrowski and Sophia Macias both tied for seventy-fourth place, each recording scores of 234. Gilrowski tallied thirty-two pars and three birdies while Macias led Tulane with five birdies.

Looking ahead, Tulane will return to Texas to compete in the Huntington Bank Collegiate tournament hosted by Southern Methodist University at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas on April sixth and seventh.

The team continues to participate in tournaments as part of their regular season schedule.
