Tulane women’s golf to compete in Huntington Bank Collegiate in Dallas

Tulane University announced on Apr. 5 that its women’s golf team will participate in the Huntington Bank Collegiate, hosted by Southern Methodist University, as the final tournament of their regular season. The event is scheduled for April 6-7 at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas.

This tournament is significant as it marks the conclusion of Tulane’s regular season and features a competitive field with 16 teams, including ten ranked among the top fifty nationally. The Green Wave will be represented by Francesca Pompa, Sophia Chen, Cristina Albertazzi, Gabriella Gilrowski, and Sophia Macias. According to Tulane, Pompa, Chen, and Gilrowski have started each of the previous four spring tournaments for the team.

Albertazzi will make her fourth start this spring while Macias is set for her second appearance. Teams competing alongside Tulane include Arizona, Cal Poly, Colorado State, Houston, Iowa, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, San Diego State, Seattle University, SMU (the host), Texas Christian University (TCU), Tennessee, Texas Tech University (TTU), University of Central Florida (UCF), and UCLA.

The two-day event begins Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., featuring 36 holes of continuous play. The final round is scheduled for Tuesday morning at the same time. Live scoring updates are available online through official channels.
