Tulane University’s women’s basketball team is set to play its final road game of the regular season against Florida Atlantic on Tuesday. The matchup will take place at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena, with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Central Time. Fans can watch the game on ESPN+ or listen via WRBH 88.3 FM and the Varsity Network App.

This meeting marks only the sixth time Tulane and Florida Atlantic have faced each other, with Tulane holding a 4-1 advantage in the series. Last season, Tulane secured victories in both encounters, including a 91-71 win in Boca Raton and a 68-52 result at home. Florida Atlantic’s sole victory over Tulane came on February 20, 2024, when they won 80-67 in Boca Raton.

Florida Atlantic enters the contest with a season record of 12-16 overall and a conference mark of 6-10. The Owls are currently one spot ahead of Tulane in the standings, making this head-to-head matchup significant for postseason positioning. The Owls have lost their last three games, most recently falling to Charlotte by one point (57-56) on February 24 before having a bye last Saturday. The team averages 62.3 points per game while shooting just under 40 percent from the field and about 31 percent from beyond the arc. Vivian Onugha leads Florida Atlantic in scoring (10.5 points per game) and rebounding (6 per game), while Jess Moors is first in assists (3.2) and steals (1.8).

Tulane holds an overall record of 11-17 and matches Florida Atlantic’s conference record at 6-10 after defeating Wichita State by a score of 62-54 on February 28 during senior day celebrations—a win that secured them a spot in the American Conference Tournament for their twenty-first consecutive appearance since missing out during the 2004–05 season.

Tulane averages just over 65 points per game with an overall shooting percentage slightly above Florida Atlantic’s at just over forty percent. The Green Wave ranks sixth among conference teams for rebounds per game (39), fourth for assists (14.3), and also fourth for blocks (3.9). Kanija Daniel leads Tulane with an average of 11.5 points per game; Dyllan Hanna tops rebounds at seven per contest—placing her tenth in the league—and Kendall Sneed stands seventh among all players with four assists per outing.

Hanna is notable as she previously played two seasons for Florida Atlantic before transferring to Tulane last year; she posted nine points and eight rebounds against her former team last season.

Individually, Amira Mabry recently surpassed head coach Ashley Langford on Tulane’s all-time scoring list during their win over Wichita State, moving up to twenty-fourth place with a career total of 1,060 points—just fifteen away from reaching twenty-third position in program history.

Graduate student CC Mays is also approaching a milestone as she sits sixteen points shy of becoming a member of Tulane’s thousand-point club.

Following this matchup against Florida Atlantic, Tulane will conclude its regular season schedule at home versus South Florida on March 7 before heading into tournament play beginning March 10 in Birmingham, Alabama.
