Tulane women’s golf prepares for Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational

Tulane University’s women’s golf team is set to participate in the Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational this week. The tournament will take place at the Palmas Athletic Club – Flamboyan Course in Humacao, Puerto Rico, from March 3 to March 5. Ball State University is hosting the event.

The Tulane lineup includes Gabriella Gilrowski, Francesca Pompa, Sophia Chen, Tonka Zacharovska, and Cristina Albertazzi. Gilrowski enters the competition after achieving a top 10 finish at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational held in Greensboro, Georgia on February 22.

Eight teams are participating in this year’s Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational. In addition to Tulane and host Ball State, other teams include Arkansas State, Western Carolina, Arkansas – Little Rock, Central Arkansas, Georgia State, and Tarleton State.

The tournament consists of three rounds over three days for a total of 54 holes. Play begins on Tuesday with a shotgun start scheduled for 6:30 a.m. CT. The second and third rounds will be played on Wednesday and Thursday.

Supporters of Tulane Athletics are encouraged to contribute to the Green Wave Club to help provide resources for student-athletes both academically and athletically.
