Tulane women’s golf ties for ninth at Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational

Tulane University’s women’s golf team concluded the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational tied for ninth place out of 15 teams. The event took place in Greensboro, Georgia, and Tulane finished with a total score of 914 over three rounds.

The Green Wave started the tournament with scores of 304 and 295 in the first two rounds before finishing with a 315 in the final round. Gabriella Gilrowski led Tulane, tying for 10th overall among 80 players. She posted a combined score of 221 and recorded 39 pars, ranking her third among all competitors in that category. Gilrowski also made six birdies during the tournament.

Francesca Pompa was another top finisher for Tulane, tying for 28th with a total score of 225. Pompa made eight birdies, leading her team and placing her tied for 15th among all participants.

Sophia Chen finished alone in 37th place after shooting a total score of 228 over three rounds. Tonka Zacharovska rounded out Tulane’s lineup by tying for 69th place with a final score of 250.

Tulane will next compete at the Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational from March 3-5 at Palmas Del Mar Country Club in Humacao, Puerto Rico. The event is hosted by Ball State University.
