Tulane University’s women’s tennis team secured its first win of the 2026 spring season with a 4-2 victory over Nevada at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Auburn, Alabama. The match was decided by sophomore Campbell Ricci, who overcame an initial set loss to defeat Marlene Foerster in three sets. Ricci lost the first set 6-4 but came back to win the next two sets 6-4 and 6-2.

This result brings Tulane’s overall record to 1-3, matching Nevada’s after this contest. Other singles victories for Tulane came from Natalia Perez, Micah Pierce, and Natalia Fantini, each winning their matches in straight sets.

Nevada claimed the doubles point with wins at positions two and three. In singles play, Amahee Charrier earned a point for Nevada by defeating Summer Chandler.

Tulane will return home for a doubleheader on Saturday against Southern University and Southeastern Louisiana at City Park Tennis Center.
