The Tulane women’s tennis team is set to begin its spring season this weekend with two matches in Texas. The Green Wave will play against #2 Texas A&M on Friday at 11 a.m., followed by a match against #25 Baylor on Sunday at noon.

Texas A&M currently holds a 71-match home winning streak that has lasted nearly four years. The last meeting between Tulane and Texas A&M occurred on January 20, 2023, when the Aggies secured a 7-0 victory.

Baylor recently competed at the Lady Vols Invite in Knoxville, where the team was swept in singles by Tennessee, ranked 16th nationally. Baylor also lost five of six singles matches to both Vanderbilt, ranked 18th, and Arizona State. However, Baylor managed to win two out of three doubles matches against Vanderbilt.

Tulane returns six players from its Spring 2025 roster. Among them is Campbell Ricci, who was named the American Conference’s Freshman of the Year. Ricci finished last spring ranked 17th in the ITA Southern Regional singles rankings and recorded a 15-3 singles record at the No. 1 position, including a 14-2 regular season mark.
