Tulane women’s tennis defeats Nicholls in regular season finale

Tulane University’s women’s tennis team defeated Nicholls State University on April 11 in Thibodaux, Mississippi, concluding their regular season with a decisive victory.

The match saw Tulane improve its overall record to 10-11, while Nicholls dropped to 5-13. The Green Wave secured the doubles point with wins at the second and third positions before sweeping all six singles matches in straight sets.

Natalia Fantini led the team by winning her singles match 6-1, 6-1, marking her eleventh consecutive win and bringing her spring singles record to 12-3. Other winners for Tulane included Campbell Ricci, Summer Chandler, Natalia Perez, Micah Pierce, and Diana Badalyan.

With this result, Tulane now awaits its seeding for next week’s American Conference Tournament. The tournament is scheduled to begin Thursday at the George R. Brown Tennis Center in Houston.

The Green Wave’s performance highlights their strong finish as they prepare for postseason play.
