Tulane women’s tennis team will compete in the American Conference Championship starting Thursday, Apr. 16, at the George R. Brown Tennis Center on Rice University’s campus in Houston, Texas.

The tournament is significant as it determines which team will earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships. The event spans four days and concludes with a final match on Sunday, April 19.

Tulane has secured the No. 7 seed and is set to play against No. 10 seed University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) at 1 p.m. Central Time on Thursday. If Tulane wins this first-round matchup, they will advance to play No. 2 seed Charlotte on Friday afternoon.

Historically, Tulane holds a favorable record against UTSA with four wins out of five encounters and most recently achieved a victory over UTSA on Feb. 20 in New Orleans. Both teams are entering the championship following recent wins; UTSA defeated Lamar while Tulane swept Nicholls State University.

Fans can follow all matches through live scoring available on the conference’s Championship Central page, while Sunday’s final will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Supporters are encouraged to contribute to the Green Wave Club to help provide resources for student-athletes both academically and athletically.
