The University of New Orleans (UNO) men’s golf team will begin its spring season by hosting the 2026 Gulf Coast Intercollegiate at English Turn Golf Course in Algiers, Louisiana. The tournament will take place over two days, Monday and Tuesday, with teams playing 36 holes on the first day and 18 on the second. Both rounds will start at 8:00 a.m. using a shotgun format.

Participating schools include Augusta, Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Bellarmine, Belmont, Central Arkansas, Eastern Illinois, Loyola (Chicago), Murray State, Nicholls, St. John’s, Southeastern, Southern Indiana and Tennessee Tech. In addition to their main lineup, Belmont, Murray State and UNO will have golfers competing as independents.

The Privateers’ lineup features junior Matthew Lotz (71.33 average this season), seniors Max Feistmantl (74.16), Tom Watson (71.73), Taylor Boasberg (74.67), and redshirt sophomore Adam Trahan (74.33). Garrett Trahan will compete as an independent after averaging 74.33 in four appearances this season and tying for 19th at last year’s Gulf Coast Collegiate.

English Turn Golf Course is set up as a par-72 course spanning 7,078 yards with a rating of 75.0 and a slope of 142.

In their previous outing at the LaTOUR Intercollegiate to close the fall season, UNO posted its lowest three-round score at a par-72 course since 2009—an 852—which ranks as the fifth-lowest total in program history. Garrett Trahan finished six-under-par while Max Feistmantl and Matthew Lotz also completed their third rounds under par.

At last year’s Gulf Coast Collegiate event, juniors Taylor Boasberg and Garrett Trahan led UNO’s “B” team to a seventh-place finish with a score of 889; Boasberg tied for 14th individually after improving his score by twenty strokes compared to his debut performance in 2024.
