On Saturday, Nov. 15, the Benedict Tigers, featuring former Warren Easton High School standout Jahmal Sam, were defeated 22-16 by the Albany State Golden Rams in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

The contest, held at ASU Coliseum at 1 p.m., marked the Benedict Tigers’ first encounter with the Albany State Golden Rams in the tournament.

The Benedict Tigers are scheduled to play their next game on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. at Irwin Belk Stadium.
