The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with the theft of a license plate in the Eighth District.
On July 4, 2023 at about 6:30 p.m., the above pictured subject was seen driving up to the 700 Block of St. Joseph Street and exiting a silver Ford Escape with no license plate.
The unknown subject, dressed in all black with a waiter-styled apron on, was seen walking over to a 2004 silver Buick Century bearing Louisiana license plate #979DKG and taking the plate from the rear of the vehicle.
The subject then fled in the Ford.
