Congressman Troy A. Carter, representing Louisiana's 2nd district, recently shared a series of tweets covering various topics from commendations for law enforcement to local weather updates and upcoming events.

On January 20, 2025, Congressman Carter expressed his gratitude towards three officers involved in stopping a terrorist attack on Bourbon Street. He stated, "I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for Sgt. Nigel Daggs and officers Christian Beyer and Jacobie Jordan who courageously stopped the terrorist that carried out the Bourbon Street attack. These three men exemplify what it means to protect and serve and put their own lives on..."

The following day, January 21, 2025, he addressed his constituents regarding winter weather conditions in Louisiana's 2nd district. In his tweet, he advised residents to stay safe during the snow day by being mindful of road closures and provided information about warming centers: "Happy snow day, #LA02! While you’re enjoying the winter weather, please stay safe and be mindful of road closures. If you need a warming center, you can find locations here: https://t.co/On4V0vSjLH Stay warm and take care! "

Later that same day, Congressman Carter posted a brief message about an event occurring the next day with the simple announcement: "Happening tomorrow!"
