Troy A. Carter, a Congressman representing Louisiana's 2nd district, shared several updates on social media recently. His posts covered topics ranging from community engagement to federal financial programs.

On March 18, 2025, Congressman Carter invited the public to join an event through a link he shared in his post: "Join now: https://t.co/WPXlbKj5jm https://t.co/4AoG5Ws0D7".

The following day, March 19, 2025, he encouraged high school artists from his district to participate in the annual Congressional Art Competition. In his tweet, he stated: " Calling all #LA02 high school artists! It’s time for the 2025 #CongressionalArtCompetition. I’m looking forward to seeing your amazing artwork. The deadline to submit is April 18th. Tag someone you think should participate! https://t.co/NGzaNmCA3h https://t.co/cYoHpxfqNH".

Later that day, Carter addressed concerns regarding federal financial support programs under the current administration. He highlighted the importance of the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund and its impact since Hurricane Katrina: "The Musk-Trump administration is targeting the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund. Since its creation, the #CDFI has provided $81 billion in tax credits through the New Markets Tax Credit Program, which played a key role in rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina.… https://t.co/MIDyieMZRV".
