On March 22, Congressman Carter expressed concern over former President Trump's approach to FEMA management with a tweet saying: "Trump is once again on a mission to dismantle @FEMA and push the responsibility of emergency management onto the states." He emphasized FEMA's crucial role in aiding Louisiana during natural disasters such as hurricanes and floods.
