61 percent of applicants to Dillard University were admitted for fall 2018

At Dillard University, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 76 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in New Orleans enrolled 1,309 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

53 percent of undergraduates are residents of Louisiana, and 47 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (84 percent) and American Indian or Alaska Native (1 percent).

The school admitted 61 percent of the 6,015 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 10 percent enrolled.
