NEW ORLEANS — Mayor LaToya Cantrell today issued the following statement in celebration of Veteran’s Day:

"On November 11, 2023, we honor the courage, patriotism and sacrifice of all our nation's veterans," said Mayor LaToya Cantrell. "As a member of a military family, I know firsthand the selflessness and determination that goes into serving one's country, and I am immensely proud of all those who have made this commitment. Across the country, we remain indebted to you for defending our nation's democracy and our shared ideals of justice, freedom and equality. Here in New Orleans, we are especially grateful for our veterans who continue to serve as leaders in their community and uplift their fellow veterans and active service members. We will never forget those who are no longer with us. God bless New Orleans, God Bless Louisiana and God Bless the United States of America."
