On Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 5:19 p.m. the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) was dispatched to 1726 Ursulines Ave. Upon arrival, firefighters found a small fire in the rear of the residence where its occupant was found with burns sustained to his hands and back. The individual was transported to University Hospital by New Orleans Emergency Medical Services (NOEMS). The fire was quickly placed under control at 5:35 p.m. and it’s cause is currently being investigated.
