City Provides Update on Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Collection for Christmas Holiday

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation today reminded residents and businesses at eligible properties serviced by the City of the solid waste and recyclable materials collection schedule for Monday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day). 

Outside of the French Quarter and Downtown Development District (DDD), there will be no curbside trash or recycling collection at eligible properties serviced by the City on Monday, Dec. 25.

Trash and recycling collection will run a day behind schedule for the remainder of the week

  • Trash and recycling collection for Monday locations will occur on Tuesday
  • Trash and recycling collection for Tuesday locations will occur on Wednesday
  • Trash and recycling collection for Wednesday locations will occur on Thursday
  • Trash and recycling collection for Thursday locations will occur on Friday
  • Trash and recycling collection for Friday locations will occur on Saturday
  • Trash and recycling collection for Saturday will occur on Sunday

Daily curbside trash collection will not be affected at eligible properties serviced by the City within the French Quarter and DDD during the Christmas holiday 

Residents can visit nola.gov/sanitation-collection-schedules/ for their respective sanitation service area/provider and schedule.
