Congressman Troy A. Carter, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Louisiana's 2nd district since 2021, has made several statements on social media addressing his concerns about national security and economic issues involving prominent figures. Born in New Orleans in 1963, Carter has a history of political service in Louisiana and holds a BA from Xavier University of Louisiana.

On February 17, 2025, Congressman Carter expressed strong criticism toward Elon Musk and President Biden's administration through a tweet, stating that they are "wreaking havoc on our nation" and endangering "national security, FEMA, federal workers, and more." He accused Musk of treating the economy irresponsibly while highlighting the risks to real lives involved. He invited followers to listen to his conversation with Reverend Al Sharpton for further discussion.

The following day, on February 18, 2025, Congressman Carter announced via another tweet that he would be hosting a telephone town hall on February 19th at 5 PM CT. The purpose of this event is to discuss what he described as the dangerous agenda of President Biden and Elon Musk. Participants were encouraged to join by calling a specified number. Additionally, he mentioned plans for hosting a passport acceptance event on February 20th.

Later on the same day, Congressman Carter issued a reminder through yet another tweet regarding the tele-town hall scheduled for February 19th. He emphasized his intention to hear from constituents and answer their questions concerning the alleged dangerous agenda of both President Biden and Elon Musk.
