Congressman Troy A. Carter, representing Louisiana’s 2nd district, recently shared his thoughts and updates on social media. His posts covered topics ranging from International Women's Day to concerns about legislative actions affecting social programs.

On March 8, 2025, Congressman Carter recognized International Women's Day. He emphasized the importance of celebrating women’s achievements while advocating for equality and justice. "Happy #InternationalWomensDay! As we celebrate women’s accomplishments, triumphs, and stories, let’s also recommit ourselves to fighting for equality and justice for ALL women."

In a post dated March 9, 2025, Congressman Carter reminded his constituents about the onset of Daylight Savings Time. He noted the change in time occurring at 2 AM on Sunday. "Don’t forget that #DaylightSavings begins tonight, #LA02! At 2 AM on Sunday, clocks will spring forward. We may be losing an hour of sleep, but longer days are ahead!"

Later that day, Carter expressed concerns over recent actions by the GOP in a tweet regarding funding cuts and social program threats. He criticized these moves while pointing out financial gains by billionaires like Elon Musk. "The GOP is canceling life-saving research grants, firing veterans, and threatening Medicare, Medicaid & Social Security—all while Elon Musk rakes in billions off the backs of hardworking Americans. I’m fighting to protect these vital programs & hold billionaires accountable."
