Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-New Orleans enrolls 915 undergrads

At Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-New Orleans, 70 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 88 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in New Orleans enrolled 2,809 students in fall 2018, including 915 in undergraduate and 1,894 in graduate programs, data shows. 25.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (74 percent) and Black or African American (11 percent).
