Cost of college went up for all students at the University of Holy Cross

Tuition and fees rose 7.3 percent for 2018-19 at the University of Holy Cross, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Louisiana students paid $14,180 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $960 more than the $13,220 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 79 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 49 students received grants or scholarships totaling $395,162 and 38 students took out student loans totaling more than $237,489.

Including all undergraduates (1,255), 517 students used grants or scholarships totaling $3.1 million, and 568 students took out $4.4 million in federal student loans.
