Graduates earn 426 degrees, certificates from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary

About 64.3 percent of the 426 degrees and certificates handed out by New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2017-18 were to students in theology and religious vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Orleans conferred 187 master's degrees and 44 certificates in theology and religious vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in divinity/ministry. Data shows the school gave out 87 master's degrees in divinity/ministry, followed by 74 bachelor's degrees in christian studies and 50 certificates in christian studies.

The seminary enrolled 2,112 students for 2017-18, including 736 in undergraduate programs and 1,376 in graduate programs.
