Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Nunez Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Nunez Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Louisiana residents paid $4,175 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 83.8 percent more than residents this year, or $7,674. Their price tag was unchanged from $7,674 in 2017-18.

About 98 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Louisiana residents. About 1 percent are residents of other states and 1 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 90 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 168 students received grants or scholarships totaling $710,386 and 101 students took out student loans totaling more than $391,594.

Including all undergraduates (2,371), 1,349 students used grants or scholarships totaling $5.3 million, and 1,016 students took out $4.8 million in federal student loans.
