Orleans Parish School District had the highest enrollment among Orleans Parish districts, welcoming 43,875 students during the 2021-22 academic year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.1% of them were boys, and 48.9% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were Black or African American, representing 77.4% of the Orleans Parish School Districts total enrollment.
